Chai Cupcake Killer is book 4 in Summer Prescott's INNcredibly Sweet Series.This book finds Missy and Echo going back to Missy's hometown of LaChance, LA to help plan the wedding of two of their friends and Missy's former employee Grayson and Sarah. While back in LaChance, Missy is out taking a walk, strolling down memory lane, when she encounters a 12 year old girl named Destiny, who is traveling with her travel writer father and her sociologist mother, who home schools Destiny, in an RV. Unfortunately, the RV has broken down and Destiny's father is trying to find someone that can fix it.
A double murder has happened and Grayson's cupcakes were used to poison the two women. Missy and Echo do what they do best, try to solve the murders to clear Grayson and Sarah. This time they have the help of Destiny, who just happened to be the one to find the two women. Destiny is wise beyond her years and picks up on clues that were left at the murder scene and tells Missy and Echo about them. While Destiny doesn't trust the police, they are actually questioning her father about the murders, she does trust Missy and Echo. Together the three of them are able to put the clues together and catch the murderer.
This book took a darker turn than the previous books in this series, the addition of Destiny was gripping, I appreciated the fact that although she is only 12, she was taken seriously and was instrumental in the capture of the murderer. I hope her family has the chance to visit Missy and Echo in Calgon, FL. I can picture Missy and Destiny baking in the shop together.
Since this story took place in LA, the rest of the main characters weren't mentioned much. But upon their return home, Missy and Echo are surprised to be greeted by Chas and Kel. While it's a nice surprise, Missy asks Chas why Spenser wasn't the one to pick them up. Chas avoids the question and it's not until later that Missy gets some info from Maggie. Spencer plays such an important part in the lives of his Calgon family, but has his mysterious background finally caught up with him? The cliffhanger with Spencer and Janssen has me anxiously waiting for the next book.

For a cozy mystery series it has interesting well developed characters. Can't wait for the next one. Love the Spencer character.
I love all the Cupcake mysteries, wish I could learn what Spencer is afraid of . Guess I'll just have to read all the books .
Another great mystery with a new character they was young and intelligent . I really enjoyed this book and the fact the girls went back and ended up in another investigation of Murder. A must read.
I loved that Missy and Echo got to go back to LaChance to visit. Meeting a genius 12 year old who solved the murder mystery so that Grayson and Sarah can continue with the wedding plans. Also loved hearing more about Spencer's past.
I really loved this one. The introduction of the 12 year old Destiny is my favorite part. I sure hope she continues in more of the series or possibly get her on series.
Missy and Echo head back to LA, where our two heroines first met. To be "punny", Destiny had a big part of this trip home. Destiny is a precocious 12 year old who happens to find the remains of a double murder. She is wise beyond her years and her attention to detail show Missy and Echo how things happened.
Destiny is the daughter of a travel writer and sociologist, who live in an RV and who were heading to FL. I certainly hope we see more of this darling girl.
And just when all are back home, pups and parents reunited, we find that Spencer is missing........

Missy and her best friend, Echo Willis are back in Missy's hometown of LaChance, Louisiana to plan the wedding of Grayson Meyers the former employee who took over Missy's original cupcake shop. When the murdered bodies of two women who recently arrived in the area are found, the suspects include Grayson and a passing thru travel writer. When the writer is arrested for the crime his twelve year old daughter gets Missy and Echo involved in finding the real murderer. This is a great story with a lot of suspense and surprises! The biggest surprise is the young daughter! In the meantime back in Florida home, Spenser is kidnapped by an former colleague. Twists and turns with a murder and a second subplot make this an entertaining series to read. The cupcake descriptions should be illegal, as they will leave you drooling!
